Charles Spurgeon: God Above Human Philosophy

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. – 1 Corinthians 1:19

This verse is a threatening so far as the worldly wise [elitists, globalists, progressives, leftists, neo-liberals, democrats, communists, socialists, Marxists, transhumanists] are concerned, but to the simple believer it is a promise. The professedly learned [mainstream media, paid activists, Hollywood, political and university bureaucrats] are forever trying to bring to nothing the faith of the humble believer, but they fail in their attempts. Their arguments break down, their theories fall under their own weight [socialism, communism, critical race theory, modern monetary theory, climate change], their deep-laid plots discover themselves [stolen elections, rigged voting machines, activist judges, open borders, inflation, massive spending based on racism and green fakery, massive subsidies, refugee resettlement, masks, vaccines, planned pandemics] before their purpose is accomplished. The old gospel is not extinct yet, nor will it be while the Lord liveth. If it could have been exterminated, it would have perished from off the earth long ago. [In contrast look at the feature image’s failures of the past; though they once wielded great power, persecuted the church, and caused millions of people to suffer, their legacies are nothing but relics of vile humanity found in garbage dumps, yet the Church of Jesus Christ, well, His Body remains and His people remain devoted to Him.)

We cannot destroy the wisdom of the wise, nor need we attempt it, for the work is in far better hands. The Lord Himself says, “I will,,” and He never resolves in vain. Twice does He in this verse declare His purpose, and we may rest assured that He will not turn aside from it.

What clean work the Lord makes of philosophy and “modern thought” when He puts His hand to it! He brings the fine appearance down to nothing; He utterly destroys the wood, hay, and stubble. It is written that so it shall be, and so shall it be.

[Prayer]

Lord, make short work of it. Amen, and amen.

Note From PAGA

Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (1 Corinthians 1:20)

Yes! Yes, God has indeed made foolish the “wisdom” of the world. And He will do so again. God has called many generations to fight the tyrannical evils of totalitarianism and authoritarianism. 2021 is no different. While America faces her own Marxist Revolution as the most heinous, evil, and vile people attempt to turn our nation into a third-world communist state, we must stand against this evil age. Most importantly, we must trust God.

God has overturned and demolished every human philosophy thus far, and the sinister American left, together with other globalists of the World Economic Forum and Party of Davos, will be no different. It is only a matter of time. Therefore let us pray earnestly Spurgeon’s short prayer against the godless and oppressive philosophies of his time: “Lord, make short work of it. Amen, and amen.

Scriptural Truths To Write On Our Hearts

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.” Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 1 Corinthians 1:19-20

To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:8-10
