A Prayer For The Church
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
We would remember before You, all the interests of Your church. Bless all those who have confessed Your Name, and give them grace to be true and faithful to You in all their ways.
May Your people be led . . .
into holier living,
into deeper experiences of Your love,
into intenser earnestness in Your service,
into fuller consecration.
Impart to Your people an overwhelming presence of Your Spirit. Overwhelm us with the truth and light of Jesus Christ that we may be like Him in this world.
May Your Word dwell in us richly as those who look into the perfect law of liberty and perseveres, being doers of the Word and therefore, recipients of Your blessed promises.
Cleanse Your church of the heresies and false teachings that have crept in. We ask that You bring these lies and errors out of darkness into the light, in order that they may be immediately rooted out, rejected, and cast aside.
We are fully convinced that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church. Help us to live wholly as people who are so convinced.
Give Your church greater power and influence in the world.
