Looking Back At President Trump’s Warsaw Speech to Poland From Krasinski Square

With leftists’ never-ending “hate-Trump” mantra along with their continual attempts to remove the duly elected 45th President from office, it is easy to overlook, or even forget, the truly remarkable things that the President has done. One such thing is President Trump’s 2017 Warsaw Speech to Poland.

Today, Pray America Great Again looks back at the historic Warsaw Speech to Poland, given by President Donald Trump from Krasinski Square on July 6, 2017. In this speech, Trump lauds the cherished values of Western civilization—wholly and unabashedly.

Of note, he heralds the resolve of the Polish people to overcome the evils of Communism with three words: “We want God!” Truly we can learn a lesson from this beloved nation that is precious in the sight of God. To Make America Great Again and Keep America Great, we must have the same resolve to overcome the same evils lurking within our nation: “We want God!”

Commenting on the speech, Roger Kimball of PJ Media wrote:

But the best part came about three-quarters of the way through.  After reminding his audience about the million people who gathered to hear John Paul II celebrate Mass in 1979, he asked: what did the people want? Answer: “We want God.” This led into the heart of Trump’s speech.  The prerequisite for the success of Western civilization is not material riches. Economic prosperity and military might on their own are not sufficient. The critical leaven is the confidence in core Western values: such things as free speech, the equality of women, respect for individual rights, the rule of law, the affirmation of faith and family.  Hence, the “fundamental question” facing Western nations today is whether the people continue to nurture the cultural self-confidence in those fundamental values. If they do, the West is unbeatable. If those values dissipate, the West is lost.  “As long as we know our history,” Trump said, “we will know how to build our future.” Trump spent a lot of time in his speech rehearsing Poland’s heroic resistance to Nazi atrocities in the Warsaw uprising and its equally heroic resistance to Soviet aggression during and after the war. Not since Ronald Reagan has an American president gone so clearly to the nub of what makes the West great and what threatens that greatness.

On the EIB network, Rush Limbaugh commented:

And [Trump is] talking about Western civilization, Western values, American culture. This distinct American culture that resulted from our founding that is now under assault, not just from enemies around the world, but from enemies within. That distinctive American culture which has given freedom its greatest repository and chance in the world is under assault from the American media and its agents in the Democrat Party and in academia and in Hollywood. The threat to American Western civilization is now primarily domestic, and it has to be beaten back if we are to survive. It’s a battle to the death, folks, and we’re smack-dab in the middle of it. And Trump’s the only president since Reagan to acknowledge it.

However, reading the transcript and looking at various photos reveals the deceptive nature of the mainstream media, i.e. fake news, and how they smeared this event. Father God,

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
13 The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man;
14 from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,
15 he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.
16 The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.
17 The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
19 that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.
22 Let your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in you (Psalm 33:12-22).

Lord, certainly we are a blessed and beloved nation. With much gratitude, we praise You for the wisdom bestowed on our Founding Fathers. They sought Your counsel in creating a new nation and in words almost as beautiful as Scripture they wrote, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

Jesus said “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27). Likewise, government was instituted for man (Romans 13:1), not man for government (Romans 13:4). And as the “Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28), so Christ is lord even of governments. In this we understand that only “just powers” can, and will, “secure our God-given rights.”

How blessed are our citizens to belong to a country whose founding documents acknowledge that all people have the rightful freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness. God we thank You. For those who have betrayed You and betrayed our freedom, we turn them over to You God and pray for Your mercy upon them.

We also thank You Jesus for the freedom that was bought for us through the cross. You came not to condemn people, but to free people from the strongholds of sin, satan, and death (John 10:10; Romans 8:1-2; 1 Cornithians 15:54-57). And it is only when the Son sets us free, that we are free indeed (John 8:36).

And God, we proclaim with the Polish people “We want God!” We need You! We want You! And please use each of us to renew, restore, and revitalize America. Pour Your Spirit on each of Your children in a mighty way. For preachers, pastors, teachers, priests, seminary professors, and parents, may the Holy Spirit convict them to proclaim, preach, and teach Scripture purely. For all of Your children, give us boldness, confidence, and courage to live out the truths of Your Word, to abide in Jesus, and to walk in the Spirit.

Help us to nurture the cultural self-confidence in the fundamental Christian values that made western culture sustaining and great.

And Father, surely You saved us in 2016! Surely You were watching how far astray the United States had veered from its original charter. Surely You saw the evil embodied in government institutions at every level, corruption, deception, underhandedness, treason, undermining our Constitution and our freedoms. Surely You have seen the outright satanic attack on religious freedoms from the 1947 Supreme Court to this very day! Surely You watched all of it and said “Thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed” (Job 38:11).

For that Lord God, Your people thank You for sending us President Donald Trump. Someone to stand up for the forgotten man and woman, the deplorables and “Jesus-freaks”. Thank You for a leader who is willing to work for the good of the United States. Thank You for a President who stands up for American citizens first, who stands for America first, who stands for our core freedom of religion, and who stands for our fundamental western values.

By default, presidents used to uphold western values and put America first. But this ideal had been lost until Ronald Reagan was elected. Then it was lost again. And as always, the unclean spirit came back with seven other spirits more evil than itself (Matthew 12:43-45). Father God, You looked on us and had compassion on us. You woke us up! And You sent a leader of strength and integrity, Donald Trump, to fight against the extreme evil within our government.

God, please be with President Trump. Give him strength, wisdom, endurance, hope, and joy as he battles the powers of darkness working through the Democrat Party, mainstream media, leftist professors, Hollywood soldiers of immorality and liberalism, and others who have fed off the riches of this nation only to turn on it and try to destroy the very things that made it great.

And please God, for all the people who have tried to destroy the President and who have slandered him relentlessly and with abandon, please God, it is Yours to avenge. Please do not delay!  Let Your people see divine justice executed on leftist debauchery.

Thank You again God for all You have done for the United States. Thanks for saving our nation again. Thanks for saving our souls. And use us, Your children, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ mightily, that more and more may come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray also for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).
