Prayer for witnessing to the lost in the U.S.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:14-16
God has put eternity into the hearts of all mankind (Ecclesiastes 3:11). All people, whether they know it or not, or whether they admit it or not, have a longing for God. The sense is similar to amputees who experience “phantom limb” phenomenon. They can still sense the presence of missing fingers, hands, arms, toes, feet, or legs.
Prayer:
Father God, show us searchings and longings for You in other people’s words and behavior. Help us to be hyper-vigilant in recognizing the soul’s yearning for their heavenly Father. And give us confidence to witness boldly, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

All people, religious or not, are captivated by the majestic beauty of mountains, oceans, clouds, a sunrise, etc. Shouts of joy. Solemn stillness. God’s breathtaking artistry invokes a host of responses. Is this not searching and longing for a loving Creator?
