Thank God We Have A President Who Stands With Israel
The LORD had said to Abram, I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 12:1a, 3
America is a blessed nation because the United States, under the leadership of President Trump, has blessed Israel.
From an April 2019 American Greatness article comparing Trump to the Old Testament’s Persian King Cyrus:
Today, President Donald Trump has established himself as another in the long line of pro-Israel American leaders, with a record that history will record as among the best.
First, Trump quickly got the U.S.-Israel special alliance back on track after the extraordinary hostility of his predecessor. Barack Obama, mentored by a range of anti-Israel thinkers… sought to reverse the warm political goodwill expressed to Israel by President George W. Bush.
Obama asserted it was time for “daylight” between the United States and Israel. He pressured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on land settlement policy… Obama advocated and then immediately reversed his position that Jerusalem was Israel’s capital. He called for an Israeli return to the 1967 armistice lines, widely considered indefensible borders. Speaking in Cairo, Obama pandered to Arabs by equating Palestinian demands with Israeli statehood, which he claimed resulted from the Holocaust, rather than 3,000 years of Jewish history.
Can you believe all of that? The mainstream media kept obama’s extreme animosity toward Israel and PM Netanyahu hush-hush.
Ignoring wide objection in Israel, Obama tilted toward Iran, which threatens to annihilate Israel, conducts aggressive regional terrorism, and remains at war with the United States. In the political battle over the Iran nuclear deal, obama disclosed secret Israeli military actions in Syria and hinted that American Jews were dual loyalists.
Finally, opening the door to the deteriorating relationship between the American Left and Israel, obama crossed the line to support an anti-Israel resolution at the United Nations.
Remember the second half of Genesis 12:3? “Those who dishonor you, I will curse” (Genesis 12:3, ESV). The NLT translates this as, “and curse those who treat you with contempt.” Is it any wonder that obama’s presidency was an abject failure? Is it any wonder that the U.S. economy tanked under obama? Millions of jobs lost? Millions on food stamps? Time-honored institutions such as the FBI, CIA, etc., rotted from the inside out? The most egregious and sinister scandal ever carried out by a president against a presidential candidate and incoming president? (Lord, make them all pay!)
However, “I will bless those who bless you.” That is why #PAGA is thanking God for a pro-Israel President—because President Trump’s actions toward Israel ushers in abundant blessings from God to our nation. God promised it. And that means, it is as good as done.
Continuing the American Greatness article:
Acting quickly, President Trump rejected the flawed Iran deal and re-imposed sanctions on the Iranians, hitting them in the pocket and challenging their hegemonic ambitions.
Trump’s administration consistently has combated the anti-Israel posture of so many at the United Nations. The president also signed the Taylor Force Act which prevents U.S. financial assistance to the Palestinians until they cease payments to the families of terrorists, and he closed the PLO mission in Washington, D.C. for failing to offer sincere efforts at peacemaking.
Finally, in moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, and now recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, President Trump has powerfully put into diplomatic and strategic deeds his own heartfelt words: “My administration will always stand in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters, and we will always stand strong with our cherished friend and partner, the state of Israel.”
Prayer
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob,
“We thank You, our God, and praise Your glorious name” (1 Chronicles 29:13). That we should be blessed to know You and to be blessed by You we offer our utmost thanksgiving.
We stand in awe, with hearts full of gratitude, for the immense blessings and promises You bestowed on Abraham and the Jewish people. Your covenant of love has never failed them. Great is Your faithfulness to the unique promise made to Abraham “I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse.”
God, we thank You for this simple roadmap to blessing both on an individual and national level. Many American Presidents have stood in solidarity with Israel and we thank You for their rich understanding of the roadmap, because surely it has meant blessings for our nation, as well.
We thank You for the promise of promises made to Abraham “and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Certainly, Father, the entire world has been blessed because of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “God has remembered His steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God” (Psalm 93:3).
Thank You that we are part of Your spiritual family. For “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus. And if we are Christ’s, then we are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:28-29).
Thank You Father God for giving us a strong President who loves Israel! We thank You for blessing him with courage amid vicious opposition, a spirit of fairness, and confidence to stay on the narrow path of standing up for what is right. Because of all You have enabled President Trump to do for Israel, we know that we stand blessed by You, the Creator of the universe, the Redeemer of mankind, the Giver of life.
As each election cycle comes around, let those who are called by Your Name, be ever mindful of the promise to Abraham. Let Your simple roadmap guide our voting. We simply cannot endure another presidential administration so utterly hostile to Israel as that of the fraud and communist obama.
I pray that all people of the Christian and Jewish faith wake up and acknowledge that Joe Biden was VP in the most anti-Israel, not to mention anti-American, administration in America’s entire history. Oh Lord God, protect Your people in America! Protect Your people Israel! Deliver us from the evil and oppression of another obama administration. Praise You for Your deliverance!
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
