Father Chad Ripperger’s Consecration of the 2024 Election to the Blessed Virgin Mary (And An Unofficial Protestant Adaptation)
One of the Catholic Church’s most renowned exorcists, says America needs divine help and asks everyone to pray for Mary’s special intercession.
Father Chad Ripperger “has composed a powerful prayer consecrating the tectonic 2024 US election to the Blessed Virgin Mary” in her role as patroness of America, asking that voters receive the grace to elect the right leaders and halt what he said has been a “slouching towards communism.”
The priest announced the consecration prayer September 3, on the “U.S. Grace Force” podcast, urging everyone to recite the prayer daily through the November 5 election.
This election represents a battle “not just [for] the survival of our country but for the religious survival of our country. -Father Ripperger
The stakes, he said in sobering words, are no less than the spiritual battle of good versus evil.
Ripperger said calling upon the Virgin Mary as the most powerful intercessor can keep evil at bay and give people the grace to truly see how dire America’s political landscape has become. There simply might not be another chance to pull America from the brink of tyranny, he said.
…recite the prayer daily through the November 5 election. The stakes are no less than the spiritual battle of good versus evil.
The Protestant Adaptation
With all due respect to Father Ripperger, PAGA has written an unofficial Protestant version of the prayer. We have the same concerns as Father Ripperger regarding our nation. However, Protestants (which includes the sub-category of Evangelicals), do not pray to Mary for intercession. Therefore, PAGA has included an unofficial Protestant adaptation of this important prayer, “eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephesians 4:3). For Jesus Himself said,
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them. Matthew 18:19-20
Prayer
Consecration Of The Election To The Blessed Virgin Mary
Mary Immaculate, living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the eternal Wisdom lies hidden to be adored and served by angels and men, Queen of Heaven and Earth beneath whose sway are subject all things that are lower than God, Patroness of the United States of America, sorrowful and mindful of our own sinfulness and sins of our nation, we come to thee our refuge and hope.
Knowing that our country cannot be saved by our own works, and mindful of how much our nation has departed from the ways of thy Son, we humbly ask that thou wouldst turn thine eyes upon our country to bring about its conversion. We consecrate to thee the integrity of the upcoming election and its outcome so that what is spiritually and morally best for the citizens of our country may be accomplished and that all of those who are elected would govern according to the spiritual and moral principles which will bring our nation into conformity with the teachings of thy Son.
Give grace to the citizens of this land, so that they will choose leaders according to the Sacred Heart of thy Son, that His glory may be made manifest, lest we be given the leaders we deserve, trusting in the providential care of God the Father and thy maternal care, we have perfect confidence that thou wilt take care of us and will not leave us forsaken.
O Mary Immaculate, pray for us. Amen.
Consecration Of The Election To Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Protestant Adaptation)
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, minister in the high places, in the true tent that the Lord set up, not man, the living tabernacle of the Divinity, where the eternal Wisdom lies hidden to be adored and served by angels and men, Great High Priest seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, beneath whose sway are subject all things, Who has all authority in heaven and on earth, sorrowful and mindful of our own sinfulness and sins of our nation, we come to Thee our refuge and hope.
Knowing that our country cannot be saved by our own works, and mindful of how much our nation has departed from Your ways, we humbly ask that Thou wouldst turn Thine eyes upon our country to bring about its conversion. We consecrate to Thee the integrity of the upcoming election and its outcome so that what is spiritually and morally best for the citizens of our country may be accomplished and that all of those who are elected would govern according to the spiritual and moral principles which will bring our nation into conformity with Your teachings.
Give grace to the citizens of this land, so that they will choose leaders according to Your Sacred Heart, that Your glory may be made manifest, lest we be given the leaders we deserve, trusting in the providential care of God the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit, we have perfect confidence that Thou wilt take care of us and will not leave us forsaken.
In The Blessed Name Above All Names, Jesus Christ, Amen.
