Thank God For The First Amendment Right To Protest

As the tyranny of the Democrat Party progressively escalates every day, so should our appreciation of the genius, foresight, and prayers of the Founding Fathers. That is why, with much praise, we thank God for the First Amendment right to protest.

The placement within the Constitution of the right to protest is especially significant. Along with religious liberty and freedom of speech, the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights says:

Congress shall make no law… prohibiting… …the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The Constitution describes the federal government, its structure, and its powers.

The Bill of Rights, however, declares what government cannot do, thereby safeguarding basic civil rights under the law. Before the Constitution’s ratification, the antifederalists demanded that protections for people’s individual rights be specified.

How grateful to God Almighty all Americans should be for this right.

Prayer

Almighty God and Heavenly Father, we “thank you, Lord, among all the people. We will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth” (Psalm 57:9-11).

How blessed we are that “the steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end” (Lamentations 3:22).

Amid severe oppression at the hands of blue state tyrants, even then we see the working of Your mighty hand dear Lord. Our Founding Fathers prayed for guidance and wisdom as they drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Today, more than two centuries later, we see the answers to those prayers manifested in carefully worded clauses to guarantee, and protect, a free people’s basic rights.

We thank You Jesus, for our right, as citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20) to protest the works of the devil, “the prince of the power of the air, the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God” (Ephesians 2:2). We thank You for revealing to us the sinister patterns of satan’s work on earth, “his servants disguising themselves as servants of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:15), whose “will is to do their father the devil’s desires, a murderer, a liar, and the father of all lies” (John 8:44).

We recognize that satan has no creative power yet he imitates Your goodness God, perverting it for his own glory. As You use people to do Your work on earth, likewise so does he. Help us to be always mindful that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

Because You have commanded us we have the sure promise that You will help us to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” (Ephesians 6:10). And that taking “up the whole armor of God, we will be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm” (Ephesians 6:13).

As citizens of heaven, we thank you for prayer to protest satan’s activity wherever it occurs.

As citizens of the blessed nation of America, Lord God, we also thank You for our rights to peaceably assemble and to petition the Government for redress of grievances.

Blue state governors and mayors have exceeded their authority and are trampling on the civil rights of their states and cities. The same governors and mayors are forbidding people to attend worship services. They are forbidding people to swim, step on the beach, earn a living, leave their home. And in some places, if “orders” are defied, the people are threatened with extended lockdown times. Oh Lord, it is Yours to avenge. Repay these tyrants what they have done to the people of the U.S.

Thank You for the strength, resolve, and conviction of so many citizens who have risen up in protest, according to their first amendment right. Yet good in defiance of evil is met with more evil. The same blue state dictators, clearly overstepping their bounds of authority, attempt to trample on this right as well.

Already Father God, the social media giant FB has undermined its users’ civil rights, and reinforced the tyranny of Democrat politicians by forbidding lawful protests to be organized on their platform. Lord God, You know FB and other social media and search platforms systematically censure Christians and conservatives. They deceptively claim to ban “false information”, when in reality the truth or falsehood of something doesn’t matter, only whether or not they agree with it. See their hostility and intolerance. Oh God, You are greater than algorithms and censure code. By faith, we ask You to impede their efforts to impede our freedom. May Divine Providence administer to them retaliatory justice without delay.

God, ultimately, when every knee will bow and every tongue confess, these blue state politicians and their allies in social media will pay for their arrogance and derision toward other people and their beliefs. Oh how wonderful it would be to see justice today! To see these people pay for their contempt of heaven’s court! But we know that Your timing is perfect and effectual, so we trust that justice will be done on earth.

According to the Word’s depiction of ruthless attacks, we believe “they have dug a deep pit in the people’s path, but they themselves have fallen into it” (Psalm 57:6). We can’t see it yet, but by faith, we believe their fall has already occurred. Oh God, as it is in heaven, let it be on earth.

Though their fall is imminent, we acknowledge that Scripture says, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God” (Romans 13:1). Yet some governing authorities invalidate their position by failing to respect the bounds of their jurisdiction.  Jude wrote angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, You have kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day” (Jude 1:6).

Father God, blue state governors and mayors have not stayed within their own position of authority. They have exposed citizens to absolute tyranny by continually trampling their inalienable rights.

We come before You, and petition You through prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ and by His righteousness, for help, protection, and rescue against these tyrants.

Almighty Lord, we lift up every person who gathers peacefully to petition a government body or official or lockdown order. We lift them up and ask that You protect them. Give them an overflowing amount of boldness, courage, bravery, and confidence to stand up to the cruelty of blue state politicians.

Jesus told us that wherever there is good, evil is right there with it (Matthews 13:24-30). Help us God, as Your blessed people, in all things, to “not be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). Help us rest in the fact that “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).

“O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love” (Psalm 59:17). You surely keep covenant and steadfast love with those who love You and keep Your commandments to a thousand generations” (Deuteronomy 7:9).

With grateful hearts we lift our prayers to You Blessed Lord.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Why Thank God For The First Amendment Right To Protest?

Blue State Tyrants

The Framers understood from both their classical education and experience, the propensity of people in power to become tyrants.

As the famous quote of Lord Acton, a 19th century historian and moralist, succinctly proclaims:

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Today in America, many citizens residing in blue states are dealing with tyrannical governors and mayors. Each of these citizens have the basic, and guaranteed, civil right to gather peacefully and petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Grievances are by no means, as Democrats and their squawk-box media like to say, denials of “science” or petty disagreements. Grievances are undue and unconstitutional government mandates that have caused some type of “grief” to citizens. This “grief” can take the form of hardships, injustice, objections, redistribution of property, etc., basically the denial of any aspect of an individual’s inalienable rights, among them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

As blue state governors and mayors overreach their constitutional authority by imposing unnecessary lockdown and business opening orders, more and more citizens are exercising their right to protest. Logically, but also surprisingly, these protests have taken place in blue states such as California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and Michigan to name only a few. Though Michigan voted red in the 2016 election, its state government officials, i.e. lockdown authoritarians, are primarily Democrat.

By The People, For The People

The American government is first and foremost “by the people, for the people.” This is accomplished through the election of political leaders.

However, politicians have gained notoriety as a class of people who by nature lie, deceive, and spin the truth. Not all do, but the vast majority do. They say one thing in public yet express a different behavior when given power or offered favors because of power. Thereby, they fail to do the will of the people who elected them.

The means to counteract, amend, correct, or neutralize the situation, that is, to restore the proper balance between elected leaders and constituents, is done by way of a peaceful assembly of people to protest government actions.

Of course, the primary and most effective means of protest against corrupt and/or inept government officials is the ballot box. This is why the voter’s voice carries such importance in the U.S. And also why our elections must be protected from Democrat fraud. (Thousands of cases of Democrat election fraud is on the books. When Dem fraud is discovered, it is immediately challenged as “voter suppression.”) To preserve this time-honored means of national protest, all Americans, especially Republicans and Conservatives, must remain vigilant by demanding traditional means of in-person voting and by supporting voter Id laws.

Though elections are the ultimate protest, sometimes government overreach is so dire, as in the case of blue state lockdowns, it is not feasible to wait for the next election.

Therefore, the Founding Fathers provided a means for citizens to protest—the right to peacefully assemble and petition government.

Lockdown Protests In Blue States

When thousands of citizens are gathering in protest, in multiple cities across the United States, something is wrong. Something is desperately wrong. (Of course, this does not include the Protesters-R-Us groups hired by leftist activist organizations.)

In response to these protests, instead of honoring the Constitution they vowed to uphold when taking the oath of office, blue state governors and mayors are exercising even more tyranny over citizens.

Apparently, tyrants do not take criticism well. Obliterating any semblance of an oath of office, blue state governors and mayors have even attempted to take the right to protest away from those who are protesting the violation of their civil rights(!). The autocrats have even enlisted the help of leftwing social media autocrats. Leftists have no bounds when its comes to the indecency of tyranny.

But as pushback grows on both sides, so does the conviction of citizens. Likewise, the attention it brings. One politician can’t really grow his/her cabal. But the citizens on the other hand… just watch.

In our opinion, blue state governors are ensuring a huge Red Wave this November.

In all things, Americans must stand up to tyrants and persevere whatever the cost.

We must sustain what our great military heroes from Washington to Grant to Eisenhower to the great General Flynn have all fought so hard to keep—freedom.

Protesters in Albany, New York protesting Governor Andrew Cuomo. Signs in the crowd included “President Trump to Fauci: “You’re Fired!”,  “Communist Cuomo Has To Go”, “We The People Want Our Freedom Back”, “Stop Tyranny”, “Doctors Quarantine Their Patients, Government Their Citizens”, along with many others.

And of course, this one, “Fear The Government Not COVID19” is most appropriate.
